Google is trying to compete with apps like WhatsApp and iMessage by providing new features in the Android Message application. Google Messages is the basic application that is provided on every Android phone, but it’s not very popular compared to WhatsApp or other messaging apps that offer many awesome features. However, this is going to change with the introduction of new features and regular updates.
In a recent tweet, it was revealed that the Google Messages app will soon allow users to edit messages after they are sent, with a time limit of 15 minutes. Now, like WhatsApp and iMessage users, any Google Messages user can edit their message after it is sent.

Google Messages vs. WhatsApp?
As Google Messages RCS rolls out its new updates, it will become a rival to WhatsApp and other communication platforms. But will it be enough? You know that WhatsApp has been one of the most popular and fan-favorite applications for chatting. But if Google really wants to make Messages RCS a leading chatting platform, it can literally change its interface and potentially rival WhatsApp in terms of features. In conclusion, while Google Messages RCS may not rival WhatsApp right now, in the future, Google Messages RCS can surpass WhatsApp.
